Portion control is a key aspect in healthy eating, and many of these gadgets help in controlling portions. It is smart to re-evaluate your dishes and cups, as the average dinner plate can be almost 12 inches in diameter! The recommended size of your dinner plate should be 9 inches, which is the same size as a salad plate. It’s also a good idea to keep small glasses and expresso cups handy, which can be used for holding desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth without overindulging, as well as creating a savvy presentation.

Many of these gadgets and portion-control items can be found at your local kitchen stores, maybe even your grocery store, so next time you are making your shopping list, take a stroll down the equipment aisle—you may be surprised at what healthy gadgets you can find!
